There are a total of 4 specialist training sectors in the overall A+ programme, of which you’ll need certification in two subjects for competency in A+. We would advise however that limiting yourself to 2 out of the 4 subjects available could leave gaps in your knowledge. At least learn about all four – you’ll be glad you did when it comes to interview time.

CompTIA A+ without additional courses will allow you to mend and maintain computers and Macs; ones that are generally not connected to a network – which means the home or small business market.

If you would like to be the person who works for a larger company – fixing and supporting networks, you should include CompTIA Network+ to your training package, or alternatively look at doing an MCSA or MCSE with Microsoft in order to have a deeper understanding of the way networks work.

Always expect an authorised exam preparation system as part of your training package.

As you’ve arrived here there’s a good chance that you’d like to enter the world of computers and the MCSE has reared its head, or you could already be in IT and it’s apparent that you need a qualification such as MCSE.

When looking into training providers, ensure that you don’t use those who reduce their costs by not upgrading their courses to the latest level of Microsoft development. This is no use to the trainee their knowledge will be of the wrong MCSE version which doesn’t fall in with the current exam syllabus, so it could be impossible for them to pass.

A training provider’s focus must be centred on the absolute best they can for their trainees, and everyone involved should have a passion for their results. Working towards an MCSE isn’t simply about qualifications – the process must also include assisting you in working on the best action plan for your future.

Before we even think about individual courses, seek out someone who will give you advice on which area will be right for you. An advisor who will take time to get to know your personality, and find out what types of work suit you:

* Is it your preference to work in isolation or perhaps being around others is an essential criteria for you?

* What do you require from your chosen industry? – We all know that things have changed, look at building and banking for instance.

* Is this the final time you imagine you’ll re-train, and if it is, will your chosen career path service that need?

* Will the information you learn make it easier to get a good job, and remain in employment until you wish to retire?

For almost all web designers, Adobe Dreamweaver is the starting point of study. It’s reputed to be the most utilised web-development platform globally.

It’s also recommended that students get an in-depth understanding of the full Adobe Web Creative Suite, including Flash and Action Script, to be able to use Dreamweaver professionally as a web designer. Having such skills can take you on to becoming an Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) or Adobe Certified Professional (ACP).

To establish yourself as a full web professional however, there’s a lot more to learn. You’ll be required to have knowledge of some programming essentials like PHP, HTML, and MySQL. If you’re interested in Cisco training but you have no experience with routers, then the course you should go for is CCNA. This training program has been put together to teach individuals who want practical know how on routers. Many large organisations who have a number of branches use routers to join up their various different networks of computers to allow their networks to keep in touch. The Internet is also built up of hundreds of thousands of routers.

It’s important to have an understanding of the operation and function of computer networks, as networks are connected to routers. Otherwise, you’ll probably struggle. We’d recommend you find training that also includes the basics in networking (CompTIA Network+ as an example – maybe with the A+ as well) prior to starting your CCNA.
